State Issues

In today’s complicated and regulatory advocacy is a critical component of the Partnership’s agenda. RIPHC advocates for regulations and legislation that support the unique interests of our members and the patients they serve. Our legislative committee and lobbyist, Chris Vitale of the Capitol City Group, focuses on the issues and priorities that are most important to home healthcare and hospice providers.

Rate reductions, new mandates and requirements, the proliferation of new providers, unlicensed competitors, and workforce demands are just some of the issues facing the industry in 2011. Active engagement by the Partnership members in educating elected and appointed government officials and making known to them the impact of policy decisions on patient care and organizational management is critical.

The Partnership’s legislative priorities keep members informed of action needed and actions taken. Click here to view the 2012 Legislative Priorities.
